Eightieth Anniversary Celebration & St. Nicholas Day

This year, 2018, marks eighty years since the founding of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. We will mark this milestone anniversary with a small celebration during the festal celebrations of our patron saint St. Nicholas.

The celebrations will begin on Friday, December 14 with a visitation from the Myrrh-Streaming Kardiotissa icon from Taylor, PA. We will serve festal vespers on Saturday evening. On Sunday, December 16, we will have Divine Liturgy followed by our St. Nicholas Brunch. St. Nicholas himself is supposed to make an appearance as well!

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, December 14; 6:00 PM—Visitation of the Myrrh-Streaming Icon of the Kardiotissa

Saturday, December 15; 5:00 PM—Great Vespers with the Enthronement of the Icon of St. Nicholas

Sunday, December 16; 9:30 AM—Divine Liturgy; St. Nicholas Brunch; and Visit from St. Nicholas

Wednesday,December 19; 9:30 AM—Divine Liturgy for the Feast of St. Nicholas

If you plan on attending the St. Nicholas Brunch, please RSVP to Fr. Nicholas Mihaly at nmihaly1013@gmail.com to ensure that there is enough food and that St. Nicholas has enough gifts for the children.
